How to Convert an MP4 File to AVI
MP4 files have become a standard file type for uploading video to portable media devices, such as MP3 players, and for uploading to video-sharing sites like YouTube. Highly compressed MP4s have small file sizes, which make them ideal in these situations. However, MP4 files are not widely read by video editing software. If you would like to turn your MP4 into a more recognizable video format, you can convert it into AVI, which can be read by all major editing software.
