How to Use Bullguard
Bullguard is a spam filter for use with your email client that helps to protect your computer from computer viruses and other spam. It comes with both anti-virus and firewall features and is primarily intended to protect your email client. The virus definitions are automatically updated on your computer with Bullguard. The Bullguard filter will not, however, work with Web email clients such as the Web browser interface used in Yahoo! and Gmail Web mail, but it works with all other email programs.

3
Choose the email program from the drop-down menu that you use for your email and select the "Apply" menu option.
-
4
Exit the Bullguard program, and open your email client to run the Bullguard Spamguard Wizard to configure the application to guard your email from spam. You will first choose a folder on the computer to store "spam" emails by using the file chooser in the program.

5
Select the "Prefill Whitelist" menu option to automatically load the email addresses located in your contacts list and sent items into the Bullguard program. This will prevent Bullguard from applying its spam filter to any "trusted" email addresses located in your email program.

6
Configure the Bullguard Blacklist filter by choosing the folder that contains spam email, which will preload all email addresses and domains previously marked as spam on your computer's email program into the Bullguard spam filters.
-
7
Exit your email program, and Bullguard will now be configured to block spam and computer viruses from your computer.
