Step 1
Bend your knees slightly. This particular move hinges on being able to stay loose and fluid, while maintaining your balance, which is why it is always done with the knees bent.
-
Step 2
Bounce on your toes. As you get into the rhythm begin to alternate having one foot on the toe, the other on the heel.
-
Step 3
Point your toes either in or out as you bounce and switch. There is no set pattern so just keep mixing it up. It also helps to rotate your knees along with your toes.
-
Step 4
Move your hips to the rhythm as your moving your feet. The dance looks better when you are not completely stationary facing the same direction. Some individuals do smooth motions and others do variations of the robot dance while performing the heel toe.
-
Step 5
Begin moving around and changing up the speeds at which the dance is done. You can either go faster or slower depending on the tempo change of the music. Don't be stationary, just allow your movements to move you naturally around the dance floor.
