Bankruptcy filers will often use the assistance of a bankruptcy attorney to fill out the many forms required. However, you can access the Chapter 13 forms online and fill them out yourself.

Find a website that obtains all of the forms that you need to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. You can locate the complete set on the United States Courts website under the "Bankruptcy Forms Manual" (see References).

Download each of the forms listed on the website. Print them out in order to fill them out by hand since they cannot be submitted online.

Start with the petition and filing fee forms. Forms B1 to B5 will involve signing that you are declaring bankruptcy as well as acknowledging any fees that you need to pay for this claim.

Fill out the schedule forms. Forms B6A-B6J will involve providing schedules to be used by the courts to determine eligibility for Chapter 13. Information that you will need to provide include personal property, exempt property, creditors, contracts and leases involved in the judgment.

Complete the B9 forms to let the courts know who exactly is filing for bankruptcy. You need to contend whether you are filing an individual, joint, corporation or partnership claim.

Finish the remainder of the forms to certify that the information you have provided is accurate. You will also have to provide power of attorney details and statements of your current income. Forms B11 through B26 will deal with these issues.
