Things You'll Need:

  • Resume
  1. Step 1

Find a bar that is hiring for the position you would like.

  2. Step 2

Put on a suit or nice clothing. Dressing nice will show the bar owner that you are serious about your job search and conscious of your physical appearance.

  3. Step 3

Go to the bar and fill out an application. Ask one of the workers and they should be able to give you an application or point you to the correct person to talk to. Be sure to have your resume handy to go along with your application.

  4. Step 4

Wait to get a call back. If you have not heard from them after a week, call the bar and ask how their hiring process is going and if they have any information on the status of your application.

  5. Step 5

Go for an interview if you are called back. An interview is the final stage in getting hired at a bar. They will ask about prior experience and have you show methods of mixing drinks and pouring alcohol.

  6. Step 6

Thank them for their time and wait for another call back. Most call backs are within a week of the interview telling if you are hired or not.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always dress nice when filling out the application or interviewing for the job.
  • Always be truthful when filling out an application for a job.
