Things You'll Need
- Lemon essential oil
- Sweet almond oil
- Honey
- Plain Yogurt
- Aloe vera gel
- Buttermilk

Combine 2-3 drops of lemon essential oil with about ½ ounce of sweet almond oil. Apply to age spots twice per day. Lemon essential oil contains natural bleaching properties that will gently lighten spots; however it does take time so make sure to apply the solution daily.

Combine one teaspoon honey with one teaspoon plain yogurt. Apply directly to affected areas. Allow it to dry for 30 minutes, and then rinse clean with tepid water. Repeat this age spots treatment daily until the skin has lightened. This combination creates a natural bleach which will lighten age spots over time.

Apply fresh aloe vera gel to age spots several times per day. Obtain the gel straight from a living plant, if possible, as it will have the most active ingredients. Aloe makes a wonderful age spot treatment because it contains chemicals which get rid of old cells and encourage new healthy skin growth.

Apply buttermilk directly to age spots 2-3 times per day until you've adequately lightened your skin. This is an old folk remedy for age spots that really works. Buttermilk contains lactic acid, which exfoliates sun-damaged skin and areas that are over-pigmented.

If lemon essential oil is unavailable, fresh lemon juice may be used as a natural treatment for age spots. Simply rub a lemon wedge over the area 2-3 times per day until results are achieved.
Never expose age spots to the sun after you've successfully lightened them or they will reappear. One of the best ways to keep them gone for good is to stay out of the harmful sun's rays and continue to apply natural treatments.
