When you are a busy person the last thing you have time to do is clean out a dirty litter box. Luckily, you can keep your cat's litter box clean and smelling fresh without needing to scoop clumps. Plus, you don't have to scrub a grimy litter box once a week. This entire process takes only 2 or 3 minutes once or twice a week.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Start with a clean litter box. Either clean out the one you have by throwing out the old litter and scrubbing it with warm water and dish soap or buy a new litter box.

  2. Step 2

Buy a box of inexpensive 13 gallon trash bags.

  3. Step 3

Put the litter box into the trash bag. Fold the ends of the bag underneath the litter box while patting out air bubbles.

  4. Step 4

Put an half an inch of litter into the litter box on top of the trash bag. The trash bag will act as a liner to keep the litter box clean. The small amount of litter will ensure that non is wasted.

  5. Step 5

Change the litter by grabbing the ends of the trash bag and turning it inside out. Doing this will trap the dirty litter inside and you just have to throw the bag away.

  6. Step 6

    Repeat steps 1-4.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may want to use a bigger or smaller trash bag depending on the size of your litter box.
  • This technique won't work well for multiple cats because you don't use much litter.
