Be Frugal With Romance

Although wining and dining your significant other is an important thing, you do not have to be frustrated if money is tight and you can't do the things you'd like to. Instead, here are some frugal steps you can take to romance that man or woman in your life, and still keep money in your wallet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A budget
  • Some creativity
  1. Step 1

Buy a nice small gift box. This shouldn't cost much at your local store, but if they have a red colored one available, then even better! Using white sheets of paper, cut out thin strips, preferably the size you'd find in a fortune cookie. On them, write one reason why you've fallen in love with them. Then, on a special day, give it to them and say they can only read one a day. Now that's romance!

  2. Step 2

Have a romantic picnic in the park if the weather is nice. You don't need anything fancy, maybe just pick up a bottle of wine and you're set to go! Get some nice fruits, a few sandwiches, and just spend the day together talking. You know, that thing you used to do early on in your relationship!

  3. Step 3

Write a romantic poem. It may sound cheesy at first, but most people will love it just for the thought you put into it. It doesn't have to be horribly romantic and cliche, just write what's in your heart. Then, on any day you feel like it, slip it into their briefcase or purse before they go to work.

  4. Step 4

Cook something romantic. Italian food and a nice wine usually works well here. This works for both genders as well, as the way to a guy's heart is in his stomach and any guy that would cook a nice dinner for his girl will undoubtedly impress them.
