Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • dawn dish soap
  • borax

  1. Step 1

If possible quarantine your pet to a single room. This will make the process a lot quicker.

  2. Step 2

Make a mixture of half salt and half borax and sprinkle it over any carpeted area in your house. This will not only kill any living fleas but also destroy any eggs that they have laid.

  3. Step 3

After letting this sit on your carpet for about an hour vacuum your house thoroughly. Sprinkle more of the mixture right outside the door to your dogs quarantine.

  4. Step 4

Time to wash your dog. get him in the shower and lather him up real good with dawn dish soap. This will quickly kill any ticks or fleas that he may have on him. Once your done put him back in his quarantined area.

  5. Step 5

You want to bath your dog twice a day for a few days, until you don't see any more signs of fleas and ticks.
