Things You'll Need:
- Internet connection
- Message or mail service
-
Step 1
Signature SetupI use this signature in my emails. Occasionally, I change the list because I may focus on a specific site for a bit and, to be honest, some of the links I used to use have gone on the ignore list. Your email client should have some sort of mail options that leads you to a signature page. You can decide on font, color, placement and number of links. If you get stuck, check out the help button.
-
Step 2
Decide on a caption/title for your link. Links with parts or all of the actual title are easier to index by search engines. Using – Clink Here – will not help at all. If you have a list of links – Yikes! 5 Click Here-s would confuse even the list maker! It never hurts to be sure there is a strong keyword in your caption/title either!
-
Step 3
Copy And Paste the URLGo to the page you will be linking to and copy the address. Go back to the page where you want to insert the address. Highlight the title and click on the link button. The page at http:// will appear. Simply paste in the copied URL address of the page you want the title to link to. Then click OK.
-
Step 4
This is a very universal procedure and most programs use the same general hypertext to set up links on a web page, a blog or an email - or just about anywhere you want to put a link. You can also insert hyperlinks into word processing programs using the same procedure before uploading your documents.
-
Step 5
eHow Hyperlink InserteHow has a typical link builder in its message box as well. Of course, there is also a resource link at the bottom of this Article Writing Wizard that is the perfect place to add a link to a related page, web site or blog that relates to the document you are adding a link to.
-
Step 6
One last bigggggggggggggg step - always check out all links once you've set them up. Be sure they are working and lead where you want them to!
-
Step 7
Now - use that email or message box and talk to people about what you would like them to check out. Use your blog and add a link to your eHow article if it relates to the blog. Write an eHow article about your blog or website if it is informative.
