Birds are beauitful and sing for your pleasure. I love the sounds of the birds singing in the garden. There are so many different species of birds that it is just amazing. They are so colorful and interesting to watch. This is about how to attract them to the garden,by watering and feeding them.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • bird feeder
  • bird food
  • bird house
  • bird bath
  • water supply
  1. Step 1

Feeding the birds is one of the main ways to get them in the garden. Bird seed can be chosen for the type of birds you wish to feed. Mixed seed is good to buy because it feeds a many types of birds. It is great for birds with small beaks. In the mixed are millet, black oil sunslower seeds and cracked corn. You may buy or even make a cute birdhouse feeder.

  2. Step 2

Bluebirds are beauitful and are nesters. Nesting baskets are nice and easy to make. Hanging a small basket in a flowering tree with some ribbon, cotton, and grass inside makes fror a great nest.

  3. Step 3

A good way to attract birds that don't want to eat in the garden is with water in a bird bath. Birdbath's can hang from a tree or sit on the ground on top of a stand. They are very attractive in a garden. Birds will drink the water and also clean off their feathers which will keep them healthy. Choose a bird bath that is easy for the bird to drink from and they can get into the water if they want. Usually one with a slight slope is good to buy. Put it in the shaded place so the water will keep fresh longer.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep fresh water in the birdbath
  • Keep plenty of seed in the feeder
  • Plants with flowers attract some birds because the birds eat there nectar
  • Bird house kits are fun and have directions included
  • Don't put anything that will tangle or wrap around the bird in the bird nest
