Tired of an acne filled face? Well here are a few tips on how to keep your face clean and reduce the amount of acne on your face!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Face wash
  • light weight face lotion
  • some sort of acne cream
  1. Step 1
Blemish fighting St. Ives Apricot Scrub

First of all you will need an exfoliating face wash. I recommend St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Wet your face with warm water and use a quarter sized drop of face wash and scrub your face. Make sure to scrub the most oily spots on your face. Continue to wash your face for at least a minute and a half. Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry with a fresh clean towel.

  2. Step 2
    Light-weight lotion

Apply a light-weight face lotion if needed. Make sure you don't apply too much lotion or your face will be overly oily. A lotion that i would recommend would be Ponds Lotion. Its for faces that are dry and it's great for sensitive skin!

  3. Step 3

Spot treatments for your face are pretty simple. All you need is an acne cream with at least 10% benzoyl peroxide. This will help dry out the pimple without overly drying your skin. Another good spot treatment is using a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and holding it on the pimple for about a minute and a half.

  4. Step 4
Light-weight makeup that's good for your face!

Light-weight makeup that's good for your face!

When applying makeup make sure its not a heavy foundation. Heavy foundations will just clog up your pores and cause more acne. I would recommend Maybelline Pure Makeup. Pure Makeup is made with 50% water and its a shine free foundation that won't clog your pores. Less makeup is more! Try to limit how much make up you put on!

Tips & Warnings
  • Try not to touch your face! The oils on your fingers spread around on your face and clogs your pores! If you must touch your face make sure you wash your hands with warm water and soap.
  • Keep your hair out of your face! Hair contains oils that can lead to acne! Keep your hair off your face.
  • Wash your face at least 2 times a day! Once when you wake up and once before you go to bed!
  • Face peels every once in a while helps get rid of dead skin cells on your face!
  • Always follow warnings and directions on all face products.
