Things You'll Need:
- Wildflowers!
- An old bucket or pitcher
- Some string or ribbons
- Access to clean water
-
Step 1
Pick A Container-Try to get or find an old bucket, vase, or pitcher if possible. The more rustic and aged, the better (It actually makes the wildflowers look even better!). Now lay your flowers next to the container for a minute-the stems should be twice as tall as your container. If they're too long, trim them. If they're too short, you'll need another container.
-
Step 2
Strip The Stems-Make sure that every bit of foliage below the waterline is stripped from the stems. This will keep the water clean and extend the life of the bouquet.
Wildflowers tend to fade fast! -
Step 3
A Loose Tie-To keep your wildflowers from being too wild and scattered-looking, you can loosely tie the stems together.
Make sure the shorter flowers are placed on the outside of the arrangement before you tie them. -
Step 4
Set And Cut-Put the tied bundle into the container. Then cut the twine. Straighten up a few stray blooms.
You're done!
