Things You'll Need:
- Razor blade refills
- Shaving Cream
-
Step 1
Close ShaveDon’t shave everyday. For smooth skin freaks (like yourself), staying away from the razor for a lengthy period of time is no easy task; but I assure you staying away from the razor for a bit makes a huge difference in avoiding razor bumps. Have a minimum of a two day gap in between your shaving sessions. If you can go a longer period of time without shaving, do so, because it will ward off razor bumps.

Step 2
Razor BladesBuy a new blade. I really don’t want to fall into the pool of writers who make irrelevant references to the current state of economy, but this section calls for the reference; so, hear me out. Look, we know the economy is tough right now and you likely have to scrimp and save in all possible areas, but your shaving tools is not the place to do so. Change out your razor blade at least once per week. If you allow your razor to get dull it will start doing all sorts of unlikable things within a matter of days, all of which result in razor bumps. You may consider this practice a bit excessive, but it works. It will cost you an extra $12 per month, but you won’t have any embarrassing razor bumps. It’s your call, but in my opinion it’s worth the “splurge.”

Step 3
Shaving Cream Prevents Razor BumpsUse a real shaving cream. Men, this goes out to you. For some reason, men seem to be under the impression that a bar of soap is an all in one shower device. Well, here’s a wakeup call guys: soap is only meant to wash your body! It is not to be used as a shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser and especially not as a shaving cream. If you haven’t invested in a quality shaving cream, this is likely the main reason why you are breaking out in razor bumps. Get rid of your razor bumps fast by investing in a quality gender specific shaving cream. Gender specific creams will make a difference, the ingredients (in most) are tailored towards the specific issues in the skin of men and women.
