How to Create Professional Business Cards on Photoshop

Creating your own business cards can be an easy way to save money. It is very easy to do and you can create professional looking business cards for a fraction of the price of buying them from a company to create them for you.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Photoshop
  • Printer
  • Card stock
  1. Step 1

    First thing to do is create a new document in Photoshop with the following settings. Width 3.5 in, Height 2 in, dpi 300 or higher.

  2. Step 2

    Now you have a blank screen setup with the proper dimensions, now it is time to add your background image. This can be something you created in Photoshop or another program or a pre-made design that you have from somewhere else, make sure you have permission to use the image if it is belonged to someone else. Also make sure the designs dpi is the same as the card, 300.

  3. Step 3

    Paste the image onto the document. Use Ctrl + T to properly resize the image.

  4. Step 4

    Now, switch to the text mode, choose the font, font size, and color and type in the name of the company.

  5. Step 5

    Using a different, smaller font, add in the details of your company like name, number, website, email, etc.

  6. Step 6

    Now for some final preparations. Make a border so that they are easier to cut after they are printed. Make a new layer by pressing Ctrl-Shift-N, and select all by pressing Ctrl-A. Go to Select>Modify>Border and set a value of 4-7 pixels, then choose your foreground color as black.

  7. Step 7

    Save your file and now you can print. Print on the card stock and cut out the cards.
