How to Create a Student ID Card

Most high schools, colleges, and universities provide their students with an ID card which can be used for a variety of reasons around campus and for certain school functions. However, another reason is that many businesses offer discounts for students, such as movies, travel, and entertainment. If your school for some reason does not provide an ID card there are other sources.

1. Having a Student ID card can have many benefits around the world. There are many places that offer discounts to students, such as methods of travel(airlines, trains, buses, etc.), entertainment(movies, museums, etc.) and accommodations (hotels, hostels, etc.). If your school does not provide an ID card, one company that does and is recognized all over the world is ISIC. http://www.isic.org/home.aspx

2. Simply go to ISIC and you can use an online form to apply for a student ID card. They will require some proof of enrollment to ensure that you actually are a student enrolled at an institution and a fee. Once this is complete they will send you your card in the mail.

3. You will need to provide your own picture and once the card arrives, they provide instructions on how to properly place your photo on the card and seal it. Also they provide a list and website with international businesses that offer student savings and discounts.
