Things You'll Need:
- Paddle brush
- Smoothing serum
- Light hair spray
-
Step 1
Brush the hair first to remove any tangles. After the initial brushing, put a quarter size of smoothing serum in your hand for shoulder-length hair. Add more as needed for longer hair, or less for shorter hair. Run the serum through the hands, and pat on the hair. Run it through with your fingers until it is distributed evenly. Concentrate the majority of the serum at the ends or where the frizz occurs.
-
Step 2
Begin brushing at the scalp to distribute any natural scalp oils throughout the hair. Brush from top to bottom evenly from forehead to nape and down the hair shaft. Apply more serum to the ends of the hair if necessary and brush through.
-
Step 3
Apply a light, natural hairspray to the paddle brush, spraying to coat the bristles and base of the brush. Run the brush through a section of the hair. Spray again as needed until frizz is under control.
-
Step 4
Run your fingers through the hair for a more separated effect after brushing to create waves with no frizz. Spray fingers or use serum. Take individual 1-inch sections, and smooth between the thumb and forefinger to give definition to the hair strands and to eliminate frizz.
