Things You'll Need:
- Polymer clay (colored or white)
- Plastic putty knife
- Paper clip
- Index Cards
- Baking sheet
- Aluminum foil
- Fine-point permanent marker

Step 1
Decide how large you prefer your dice. Buy enough polymer clay to make three equal--size die. Lay down newspaper where you intend to work to avoid getting clay on furniture.

Divide your clay into three equal--sized pieces. Place the pieces on index cards.

Shape the pieces into cubes with your putty knife. Gently smooth square edges and corners with your fingers.

If you prefer your letters and dots recessed, open up a paper clip, pulling the smaller end away from the larger end. Pinch the smaller end together with fingers or pliers. Use this end to carve the letters L, C and R into your dice. Smooth any rough edges with your fingers.

Press either your fingertip or the back end of your marker into the clay on three sides of each die to imprint dots. If you prefer your dice smooth, skip steps four and five.

Preheat your oven according to the clay manufacturer's instructions (usually 275 degrees). Transfer the dice onto a foil-covered baking sheet, and slide them into the oven. Do not put the index cards in the oven. Bake according to the manufacturer's instructions. Most clays require baking for fifteen minutes per quarter inch of thickness.

Remove the dice from the oven when thoroughly baked. Allow them to cool completely before handling.

Color in the letters and dots you created with a fine-point permanent marker. If you left your dice smooth, draw on the letters and dots.
