If you have an iPhone that you want to make your own ringtones for, you must convert your audio files into MR4 format. If you have some MP3 files you can create your own iPhone MP4 ringtones by converting MP3 to MP4. While there are no audio converter that can do this type of conversion, you can do the conversion online for free with Audiko. Audiko is a free online ringtone conversion website.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Launch your web browser. Go to the Audiko website (see Resources) to begin your conversion.

  2. Step 2

Click the "Upload" button under "step 1." Select the MP3 that you want to convert to MR4. The file will upload to the site.

  3. Step 3

View the downloaded track on your screen. The ringtone can only be 30 seconds long. A default 30-second segment will be selected for you.

  4. Step 4

Select the section of the track that you want as the beginning of your ringtone. You can drag and drop the blue shaded area to select where you want the ring tone to begin.

  5. Step 5

Click "Create Ringtone" to convert the MP3 to MR4. Enter in the track tags that you want for the ringtone and click "Done." The track will be cut and converted to MR4. When it is complete you can play it to test it out. Then you have the option of downloading the MR4 to your computer or sending it right to your iPhone. Click the download link of your preference.
