Serve chicken nibbles, a tasty finger food, at cocktail parties or pack them in children's lunches. Vary the dipping sauce depending on your audience!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. minced ginger
  • 2 tsp. sesame seeds (optional)
  • Medium size bowl
  • Cooking spray
  • Baking sheet
  1. Step 1

Chop the chicken into 1-inch square chunks. These will be your bite-size "nibbles."

  2. Step 2

Mix the sherry, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic and ginger in a medium-sized bowl.

  3. Step 3

Add the chicken chunks to the sauce, stirring to coat well. Cover the bowl, and put it in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.

  4. Step 4

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

  5. Step 5

Place the chicken chunks on a greased or foil-lined baking sheet, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and put the sheet in the oven.

  6. Step 6

Bake the chicken nibbles for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are no longer pink inside. Remove them from the oven, and let them cool slightly.

  7. Step 7

Serve the chicken nibbles with your choice of dipping sauces if desired. A sweet chili or sriracha sauce will enhance the Asian-inspired soy-ginger flavor.

Tips & Warnings
  • Children may enjoy the old standbys of ketchup and mustard. Try your choice of salad dressings or barbecue or buffalo wing sauce for dipping.
