Go to a shipping comparison website such as iShip.com or ShippingSidekick.com. Enter the weight and packaging information. Make sure you know what type of packaging you are using.

Enter information such as the "Shipping from" and "Shipping to" addresses. Select whether the delivery address for your shipment is a business or a residence.

Add carrier loss protection if you wish to insure your package. If you don't wish to insure the package, leave this field blank. Click "Continue" and you will see a list of options for shipping, with the cheapest cost listed first.

If you don't have an appropriate scale, you can have the package weighed at the Post Office.
