Start an online video game clan
Start an online video game clan

Video games can be loads of fun, especially when you mix things up a little and start your own clan. It can be challenging, but also rewarding to get a video game clan going. Here you will learn how to start your own clan in a video game.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine what your name will be. This is a very important step. Come up with something you like, and something that you think many other people would be happy to have associated with their name in the video game.

  2. Step 2

Determine what image you want your clan to portray. If you want your clan to be filled with only the best of the best, first off, you will need to be one of the best of the best, and you can’t go around asking everyone to join. If you want your clan to be elite players only, you want to ask only elite players. Once you get enough elite players you’ll find that you’ll have people asking to join, because they want to achieve the status of being considered elite. If your squad is just about having fun, and your only goal is to make it as big as possible, then invite everyone and let everyone join.

  3. Step 3

Recruit others to join. This will be a numbers game. Some people will say no, and some will say yes. The best place to start would be the friends you have made on your video game.

  4. Step 4

When you recruit someone, put them through the process. Introduce yourself, and tell them a little about your clan. If you have a web site (discussed in a later step) tell them about it.

  5. Step 5

Determine whether or not you’ll have a hierarchy. Some clans have a ladder. There is the leader, and then there are officers or something similar, and then there are the normal recruits. Some clans have many different levels. If you do decide to have levels, let everyone that graduates higher up know what their new role means.

  6. Step 6

Create a logo, set up a web site or forum, or get everyone’s email address. This isn’t necessary- it all depends on how involved in this you want to be. If you want a way to communicate to everyone in your clan, you can use a web site, or you can get a list of emails and use it to send them important information.

  7. Step 7

Do something fun with your clan. You’ve worked hard to get a bunch of people together, now do something fun with it! Arrange a battle against another clan, or set up a meeting time for you all to get together and play, and have fun!
