Sell A Timeshare by Yourslef!

Assuming you have sold before on Ebay, and understand how to list, I will show you how to sell your OWN timeshare on Ebay! It is fairly easy, and all the money goes into YOUR pocket!

Instructions

1. 

   Understand your Timeshare! If you do not completely understand your timeshare, reread all the paperwork. Now that you understand it completely, lets get started.

2. 

   Go to Google or yahoo and type in your timeshare name in the search bar. You want to gather info there, all the basics. You can simply run your curser over it and click copy.
   For example: *Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort* is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, near Orlando and all its fantastic attractions! Bonnet Creek is a new Wyndham resort, just completed in June 2004. The resort has a swimming pool, a sauna, an outdoor hot tub and much more. It's also close to tennis and golf courses, with Disney and all Orlando attractions only minutes away!! The Gulf Coast and Atlantic beaches are only an hour's drive, and historic St. Augustine and the Kennedy Space Center are fantastic day trips!

   You can just leave that page, minimize it down for a moment, and open a new window. Go to ebay, and click sell. Now you need to pick the category to list in. You can list under "TIMESHARES", it is about a $50 listing fee, and it's up and listed for 30 days, OR You can list under "Everything else", then choose "membership." This is a much much lower fee, maybe $4, and the listing lasts a week. The nice thing about this is you can afford to start high, if it doesn't sell in the first week, relist lower. If It doesn't sell, you are not out huge listing fees.

4. 

   Write the description. Take your time, and put as much info as possible. You want to paste the info on the resort now, that you already gathered. If your time share is an amount of "points per year," include that. Is it annually or every other year. Is it RCI points? Can they use ANY hotel anywhere? Can you Bank your points, save them for the following year? Is there a certain "week" the Timeshare can be us, a fixed week? Just give all the info you have! The More the better! Keep in mind, the person buying a Timeshare may not completely understand how timeshares work. Keep it simple and easy to understand for the average person.

5. 

   Add a points chart! If you can find a points chart to your timeshare, paste it in the listings!

6. 

   Mention, THE BUYER WILL PAY ALL closing fees. You can include an online Timeshare closing company's info, Website and phone number. Just so you know, there are many online closing companies to choose from. You can mention in your listing closing costs are approximately $500.

   You can include one or two closing company options in your listing, but allow the buyer to choose.

7. 

   Add into your listing, "PAYMENT is due within 5 days of auction end." Yes, prior to the closing.

8. 

   Pick your price, again feel free to research on ebay, How much your timeshare is worth. The best way to find out EXACTLY what a timeshare is worth, or (anything on ebay) is to search completed items. I have an article here on how to do that.
