Step 1
Use eBay’s free templates
eBay offers many tools to help its sellers get the best results for their listings. Among these tools is a selection of free eBay templates. eBay also offers paid templates that will give your auction a little more individuality than the free ones. -
Step 2
Google it
Search engines like Google and Yahoo are excellent places to look for free eBay templates. Simply typing the keyword phrase, “free eBay templates” (with quotes for better results) into the search engine will yield plenty of results. -
Step 3
“Free” should mean free!
Beware of sites that offer free eBay templates, and then ask you for a credit card number to purchase a package. These are not actually free eBay templates, but a trial offer intended to lure you into buying the product. If you like, you can use the free trial to look at the templates and see if any of them are worth buying, but buying isn’t really necessary for most people.
For most sellers, free eBay templates are all they need to add some pizazz to their auction listings. One advantage of using free eBay templates over paid ones is that if you lose them due to a computer malfunction, you can easily get them again without having to pay again. -
Step 4
Some sites to consider
Once you have sorted through your search results and eliminated the “free” trial offers, you should be left with a few sites that actually do offer free eBay templates. Browse those sites to see which ones you like and bookmark them so you can return to them again. Download any templates that you find suitable and save them to your computer. Two sites that I know of are xample.net and auctiva.com. -
Step 5
Most eBay power sellers will tell you that using a template is one of the best ways to make your listing look professional and stand out above the others. By using free eBay templates, even novice sellers with little money can get an edge on the competition.
