How to Hang Large Mirrors

This is an easy way to hang a large heavy wall mirror. If you do this properly you never need to worry about it falling down and giving you 7 years of bad luck.

• Large Mirror
• Drywall Anchors
• Drill
• Screwdriver

1. The first thing we need to do is find our large dream mirror. Next we need to scour our house to find the perfect place to hang it. After we have found the mirror and a place to hang it we need to determine the weight of our new mirror. The best way to do that is to stand on the scale at your home and remember the weight, then hold the mirror to get the weight of both. Then subtract the two weights and the difference is the weight of the mirror.

   Now that we have the weight of the mirror we need to purchase wall anchors for that weight. Go to the local hardware store and purchase wall anchors designed for your mirror weight. Always buy heavier duty anchors than what you really need. If our mirror is wider than 3 feet you want two wall anchors for it.

3. When you get home using your drill with a screwdriver bit screw in your anchors. Now using the screw supplied; screw the screw into the anchor leaving enough for your wire on the back of your mirror to catch and hang on. Now level your mirror out and you are ready to enjoy!
