How to Use Microsoft Word to Create Business Cards
Business cards place your business name and important details right into a potential customer's hand. Microsoft Word has the tools you need to create your own business cards from home. Design customized cards using your business logo and choosing your favorite font and colors. MS Word includes many templates that match several different business card products, and there are more designs available for download. Ten business cards fit on one 8.5-by-11 inch sheet.

Launch Microsoft Word. Go to "Mailings" and then click "Labels."

Click on "Options" in the "Labels" dialog box. Choose the manufacturer of your cardstock from the "Vendors" drop-down menu, then pick the product name and number and select "OK." Check the free templates available from Microsoft if your cardstock isn't listed. The manufacturer may also offer templates on its website. To print on blank cardstock that is not perforated, select Microsoft and then choose the "Business Card" from the menu that is a "Horizontal Card."

Enter your business name and address in the dialog box, then click "New Document."

Click within the first cell of the layout, then choose "Insert" and click on the "Picture" button. Locate your business logo on your computer and click "Insert."

Drag the picture into position, and then adjust the size of the logo by clicking on a corner and dragging.

Right-click the image and choose "Text Wrapping" and then "Square."

Enter any additional contact information, such as email, phone number or website.

Complete the design of the first business card, and then choose "Layout."

Click on "Select" and choose "Select Cell."

Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys to copy the business card.

Click in the next cell and press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys to paste the contents. Repeat this step for all the remaining cells.

Click the "Office Button," and choose "Print." Adjust the properties for your printer, insert your business cardstock and click "OK" to print.

Tips & Warnings
In the "Labels Options" dialog box, you can click on the "Label Information" to adjust the size and margins of the card.
Always perform a test print to verify the layout.
