In this article you will learn how to clean your Plasma television with minimal cost and maximum effectiveness.

Things You'll Need:

  • Microfiber cloth
  • or cleaning kit
  1. Step 1

    Prevention. Avoid touching the screen because fingerprints leave oil residue which is visible and attracts dust.

  2. Step 2

    Read the instructions. Consulting your television' s manual as it may offer some specific tips for cleaning your particular model as well as recommended products.

  3. Step 3

    Wipe gently. Use a microfiber cloth or similar and with out a lot of pressure wipe the display horizontally from top to bottom to remove any dust and fingerprints.

  4. Step 4

    Proceed to wipe all exterior portions from top to bottom to remove dust and other materials.

  5. Step 5

    Look into purchasing an anti-static sprays which will temporarily prevent future dust from attaching to the television.

  6. Step 6

    Suck out the dust. Use a vacuum cleaner extension on the lowest suction power to get the dust that has accumulated in the vents on your television.

  7. Step 7

    Cleaning kits are also sold at local retailers such as Radioshack and Best Buy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Used dryer softener sheets have been known to make good wipes because they supposively keep dust off for a short amount of time. However is not recommended for your Plasma Television.
  • LCD displays should not be in contact with direct sunlight.
  • Don't apply too much pressure, wipe gently and be consistent in your pattern.
