How to Burn a CD with Apple's iTunes
The ability to burn songs onto a CD is one of the charms of iTunes. Over the years, iTunes has tweaked the process and moved the instructions around, but the basic process remains the same. The CD maker must have an iTunes account with the accessible songs in her playlist.

1
Open the music section of your iTunes library. The library is a complete list of all the songs accessible on that account.
-
2
Click "File" on the top left of the iTunes page, then "New Playlist." Give the playlist a title. The new playlist will appear in the column on the left of the page under the column called "playlists."
-
-
3
Click on any song titles in the library that you want on the playlist. Drag about 20 titles to the playlist.
-
4
Click on the playlist. The iTunes program will show the songs in the order they were added to the list. Click and drag the songs around if you want to change their playing sequence. Most CDs can only hold 80 minutes of music, and iTunes will not start the burning process if the playlist is too long. If you must remove a song to get under the time limit, do a right-click on the title, then hit delete. This will delete the song from the playlist, but not the library.
-
5
Enter a blank CD. Go to "File" again and click "burn to disc." A button will appear in the lower left-hand corner of iTunes that says "Burn Disc." Click it once and iTunes will burn the music to the blank disc. A timer will show how much time remains in the burning process.
-
6
Eject the disc at the end of the burning process. Play the disc to ensure the burn was successful.

A library is formed by any music the user buys from the iTunes store or imports from a disc.
One CD will only hold a certain number of songs, usually ranging from 20-25 songs. You might have to use two separate CDs if you have a large number of songs to burn
