House Train Your Dog Quickly

Many of us our pet lovers we look at a couple walking a dog and we immediately stop and pet the dog. For some people petting a dog is one thing but owning one is a completely different thing. If there was one thing that truly holds many back from getting a dog for the family is the fear of house training.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • kennel
  • training pad
  • doggy treats
  1. Step 1

House training a dog will take persistence and patience on your part. There are several tools you can buy at your local pet store that will help you on the way. One of the tools you can buy is a training pad. The way this pad works is you place it near the door in your house and the scent of the pad is suppose to make a dog relieve themselves on the pad instead of on your nice carpet.

  2. Step 2

Another thing you can use to your advantage is a kennel. Dogs do not like to relieve themselves where they sleep so a kennel will work wonders in training your dog. At night before you go to bed let your dog out to relieve himself. Then once your dog is finished put the dog in the kennel and then go to bed. First thing in the morning get up and take your dog outside to go relieve them self. Another good tool you can use is doggy treats give your dog a doggy treat each time they relieve themselves outside, and rub them and say good boy or good girl. Basically encourage them. Once they realize going to the bathroom outside is a good thing it will become a habit for your dog.

  3. Step 3

As your dog learns to go to the bathroom outside they will start to scratch the door or or stare outside whenever its time to go to the bathroom. A way to recognize your dog may be ready to relieve themselves is if you see them walking around sniffing the carpet or sneaking off by themselves. When you see your dog do this behavior take them outside quickly.
