Things You'll Need:
- News Paper
- 3x100 plastic roll
- toys
- water bottle

Step 1
This is what the playtop Cage will look like depending on the model of your cageThe number one thing you need to keep your parrot happy is plenty of out of cage time. You will want to have your parrot out as much as possible. Play top cages are great for this. Some have food bowls on top where they can eat, drink and play while on their cage.

Step 2
Keep their cage clean. You can do this easily. Most cages are 3xsomething One trick that I have found is to lay your news paper in the bottom of the cage. You can go to the paint department of walmart and you can buy rolls of 3x100 plastic sheets they are about 4.00 a roll but you will get lots of use of it. Measure the plastic on the short end of your cage tray. If your tray is 3x3 measure 3 feet and cut the plastic. When you unfold the plastic it will cover the bottom of the tray. Make sure you raise the tray up far enough that your parrot can not get to the plastic because they do like to grab things off the bottom. Now all you have to do once a week or when needed is roll the plastic and put a new one down. I like to cut my whole roll in advance. This saves me time each time I have to replace it. This makes cleaning much easier!

Step 3
Toy's Toy's Toy's!
All birds love toys and there are many toys to choose from. You will want to make sure you choose size appropriate toys for your parrot. The bigger the parrot the bigger the toy. This will assure they can't destruct the toy and ingest the parts. There are toys that you can buy that will allow you to interact with your bird like Roller Skates, balls and basket ball hoops. Just to name a few. There are many other ways to keep your parrot happy and healthy but these steps will for sure put you in the right direction of a happy parrot!
