How to Convert European Sizes
Clothing sizes are not the same all over the world. If you wear a size 8 in the United States, you will wear a different size for clothes made and sold in other countries. Learn to convert to European sizes, but as with all clothes, the sizes differ by the brand, and it is best to try on the clothes before making a purchase to ensure the best fit. Keep in mind that sizes often labeled as "European" are used mostly in Germany and Scandinavia. Italy, France and the UK use completely different sizes.
Instructions

-
1
Subtract 30 from the European size to get the U.S. size. For instance, if the European size is 38, the U.S. size is 8.
-
2
Subtract 28 from the European size to get the UK size. You can also get this by adding 2 to the U.S. size. A European 38 is a 10 in the UK.
-
-
3
Add 2 to the European size to calculate the French size. In the example of the European size 38, it would be a 40 in France.
-
4
Add 6 to get the Italian size from the European size. A 38 in Germany is the same as a 44 in Italy.

This article is so false! One does not determine sizing by subtacting 30 from the European. That ONLY works in case of shoe sizes. In clothing, size 38 for example, is size 0 or 2 at most in US. If you don't believe me - try on a size 38 if you're a size 8 in US. See how it fits! LOL Italian sizing differs from French, Spanish, German and English sizing. In this article, again the info is wrong, because it bunches up all countries together. I don't know where these people are getting their information in this article but it is entirely false. So misleading! Check your facts people!
