How to Install Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger, the instant messaging application, is included standard on any Windows system and is a popular competitor of America Online's AIM messenger. Featuring chatting and messaging abilities, Live Messenger can be installed easily with any Windows CD-ROM or can be downloaded for free from Windows.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Navigate to the Windows Live official site (provided in Resources) and click the "Get It Free" download tab.

  2. Step 2

    Click "Run" to launch the download process on your computer.

  3. Step 3

    Click "Install" to begin the installation and customize your installation options as the download progresses. To perform a standard download, click "Next" as each step prompts you to continue.

  4. Step 4

    Agree to the terms of service and click "Finish" once the program has finished downloading, and your Windows Live Messenger will be ready to launch on your computer.
