How to Download Songs Onto a Cell Phone

Cell phones now come equipped with all kinds of features including voice memos, web browsers, and even MP3 players. Getting MP3s on your phone in order to play them can be done through a web browser on your cell phone. If your phone is capable of playing and downloading MP3s, it should only take a few minutes to download songs to your phone.

• MP3-capable cell phone

Instructions

1. Open your web browser on your cell phone. If you have limited access and an Internet directory, look for a "Music" option.

2. Type the song that you are looking for in the search bar on your web browser.

3. Locate a website in the search results that contains the song download for cellular phones. Open that website.

4. Click on the download link. Allow the song to download to your cell phone.

5. Close your web browser and locate the song on your cell phone (usually under sounds, music, mp3s, or multimedia). Select the song to play it.

Tips & Warnings

• Sometimes the website will have to send the link to you in a text message and you can manually download it from there.

• Standard text messaging rates will apply even if the website does not charge for their songs. For example, if you do not have unlimited web browsing or unlimited text messaging, you will be charged for each link that is sent to you.
