Step 1
Remove any previous versions of Guitar Pro. If you have an older or trial version of Guitar Pro, it will need to be uninstalled before you can start installation. To do this, select "Add or Remove Programs" from the Windows "Control Panel" and choose "Uninstall" when you find Guitar Pro from the populated list.

Check the requirements prior to installing Guitar Pro. You will need Windows 98 or higher, 512 MB of RAM, sound card, CD-ROM drive and 700 MB of free hard drive space.

Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive to start installation of Guitar Pro. If you selected the download version, open the file included in the email sent to you from the software provider.

Wait for the wizard to launch in order to install Guitar Pro. If it does not start automatically, open the executable file located in the "Devices" menu of your Windows program.

Agree to the terms of service and choose a file location for the Guitar Pro download. The install will automatically start after you click "Install" on the wizard. Once the files have loaded, you can launch the software program through the new icon or find it under the "Programs" menu of Windows.
