How to Adjust Chaco Sandals
Colorado-based shoe company Chaco makes sandals with comfort in mind. Chaco's Z series of sandals are crafted with bio-centric footbeds that give both support and comfort. Chaco sandals are made with a single strap threaded throughout the shoe, making them easy to adjust for any size and width of foot. Does this Spark an idea?

Loosen Chaco Sandals
-
1
Determine which type of Chaco sandals you are wearing to know which strap to adjust 1st for both loosening and tightening. Chaco's Z1 type shoe is a sandal with straps across your toes and up near your ankles. The Z2 sandals are similar but have an additional loop of strap around the big toe. Chaco flips do not have straps, just a thong between your big toe and the rest of your foot and do not need to be adjusted.
-
2
Loosen the buckle strap by pulling up on it. If the buckle is too tight and you cannot insert your foot into the sandal, feed some of the extra strap that hangs loose off the buckle into the plastic buckle to give it additional slack.
-
-
3
Pull up on the part of the strap nearest your pinky toe, on the outside of your foot. You may feel the strap that runs from your pinky toe diagonally to your inside ankle tighten at this time.
-
4
Lift up the strap that runs from your pinky toe to your inside ankle. If you are wearing a Z1 Chaco sandal, your shoes are now loosened and you can put them on.
-
5
Pull up on the small strap that wraps around the inside of your big toe if you are wearing a Z2 Chaco sandal. Slip your foot in.
Tighten Chaco Sandals
-
6
Begin with the strap at the base of your big toe to tighten Chaco sandals. On the Z2, this small strap encloses your big toe. On the Z1 sandal, pull up on the strap that spans from your big toe diagonally to the outside arch of your foot.
-
7
Lift up the arch strap that hits the inside of your foot and has the buckle attached to it.
-
8
Pull the unattached end of the buckle strap to tighten the buckle.
