5. To establish yourself as a private SAT tutor, you will need to follow a different path. Publicize yourself as much as possible. Talk to younger friends, put up notices on billboards, and get the news out there about your SAT tutor services in any way you can think of. Put out flyers that list your qualifications (including your SAT score and what university you attend) and your rates. Make your rates competitive.

6. Study up. Learn everything you can about the SAT. Read all the test prep books that offer helpful hints and suggestions. Come up with your own way of being an SAT tutor. Make detailed lesson plans and approach things in a professional manner.
