Things You'll Need:
- Fabric
- Thin ribbon
- Rocks
- Card stock
- Hole punch
- Template for a circle

Step 1
Make a template for a circle from cardboard or other stiff material. A small saucer makes a good one. The template should be about 6 inches in diameter.

Step 2
Choose any printed fabric that catches your eye! Since Prayer Rocks are good to give at any time, Christmas, pink ribbon, Easter, yellow ribbon or any kind of fabric will work. Turn your fabric wrong side up and trace circles on it with your template.
Cut out the circles with pinking shears or fancy edged scissors. -
Step 3
Place a rock in the center of the wrong side of the circle. Rocks should be about 2 inches. Gather fabric around the rock and secure with a piece of ribbon. Tie a knot, then tie a bow.

Step 4
On a piece of cardstock, type the following message--you will need to make the font small:
Prayer Rock
I am your little Prayer Rock, and this is what I'll do...
Just put me on your pillow until the day is through.
When you're turning back your covers and are climbing into bed,
WHACK! your little Prayer Rock will hit you on the head.
I'm just here to remind you, when the day is through...
It's time to kneel and say your prayers, just like you meant to do.
When you are finished praying, just drop me on the floor
And I'll stay there all through the night to help you out once more.
When you wake up in the morning and OUCH! you stump your toe,
It's me again reminding you--say your prayers before you go.
Put me back upon your pillow when your bed is made
And your clever little Prayer Rock will continue in your aid! -
Step 5
Cut the message out with pinking shears or other scissors, punch a hole in the upper left corner and attach to one of the tails of your bow.
Your little Prayer Rock is ready to make someone's day!
