Step 1
Consider how much room you have to work with. This is important and can drastically narrow down your choices. You don't want to spend your hard earned money on a full size washer if the space you have available can only house a space saving model.
-
Step 2
Look at the different designs, styles and colors that are available and find styles that work with your decor preferences. Do you have a front load or top loading preference for your washing machine?
-
Step 3
Inspect the features, functions and settings that are available with the different styles, these will include noise level, wash cycles, capacity, special garment cycles and possibly its greener aspects.
If you own a lot of fine silks, wools or other delicate items then you need to make sure your washing machine is equipped with a delicate cycle. If your concerns lie with water conservation or energy efficiency then that is an important feature to note. If you have a large family then you will most likely want something with a larger washing capacity. -
Step 4
Look at its ease-of-use. Are the provided instructions and settings easy to understand? If you have to deal with it day after day then you don't want to have to refer to the users manual every time you need to wash a load of clothes.
-
Step 5
Identify your price range and then take into consideration the price of the different available models.
