How to make the best fried zucchini

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • milk
  • egg
  • flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oil
  • medium zucchini
  1. Step 1

I have made fried zucchini many times and this recipe is the best one I found. I have tried breading them with bread crumbs but I think it just does not taste as good. You will need one medium zucchini. You will need to slice the zucchini in one inch thick slices. In a small bowl you will need to beat one egg and one and one half cups of milk. Use a fork to whisk until the egg is completely mixed in. On a plate you will need to add flour about two inches thick. You can add salt and pepper to the flour or your can season when they are finished.

  2. Step 2

In a skillet over medium heat you will heat your oil. Once the oil is hot enough you will begin to fry your zucchini. While you are waiting for the oil to get hot you will take your zucchini pieces and soak them in your milk and egg mixture. Make sure the zucchini is completely covered in the mixture. Shake of the excess and place on the plate with the flour. You will need to coat both sides of your zucchini slices. Then you will place them in the skillet. The cooking process does not take very long at all.

  3. Step 3

You will fry them until they reach a golden brown then flip to the other side until they reach golden brown. I then place them on a paper towel to soak up the excess grease. Continue this process until your run out of zucchini. Salt and pepper to taste. I hope that you enjoy this recipe as much as we have. My children enjoy dipping their's into ranch dressing.
