Step 2
Once registered, create a player by picking his position. Pick a position that you think you would be interesting. Positions like Quarterback are more desirable, but cost more Flex Points and are therefore more expensive to maintain over positions like Guard and Tackle.

Once you player is created, you'll have the opportunity to assign points into various different attributes to make your player stronger and faster. For tips on where to assign these points, post position specific questions in the Build Forums. Each position is different, can be built in different directions, and will have varying degrees of influence on that players success.

Step 4
After completing the basic build, you'll immediately find yourself with three contract offers. These are automatically generated by the computers and are run completely automatically. After joining one of these teams, your player will compete every 48 hours.
I would personally recommend finding a human run team. Posting your player in the Trade and Free Agent forums will likely garner you several more contract offers. Get to know your new owner and GMs before signing with a team, pick the one you like, and get ready for some football! -
Step 5
As your player gets more experience points through playing time, he'll grow in levels. Keep on top of you player, seek advice from veterans, and enjoy the game.
