As the maid or matron of honor, it is your job to plan the bachelorette party. Chances are, that you have never done this before. With that said, a bachelorette party is actually pretty easy to plan and when combined with a Spa party it also takes care of having everyone's beauty treatments attended to. Here are the steps you should take.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Food
  • Drinks
  • Mary Kay or other Cosmetics Consultant
  1. Step 1

Prepare finger food that are easy to eat. Sandwiches, eggrolls, tiny quiches, and other bite sized foods would make it easy to eat when covered with cosmetics. You may want to pick a theme such as Mexican, Chinese, or Italian.

  2. Step 2

Contact your favorite cosmetics consultant. Many Mary Kay consultants have a side-service of doing beauty treatments, and wedding makeovers. She will be glad to spend an afternoon giving everyone facials and makeovers, especially if you pay her for her time, or purchase cosmetics from her. If you purchase a basic facial kit for each participant, this can double as gifts from the bride and pay for the consultant's time. Each person can buy their own consultants as well.

  3. Step 3

Be sure to discuss with the consultant and make a list of treatments for each person, being sure to give the bride a full face, hands, feet, and skin treatment.

  4. Step 4

As the consultant is babying each person, and/or instructing them in how to use cosmetics and take care of their skin, be sure to mix up some frozen drinks to serve to your guests.

  5. Step 5

Continue the party after the consultant leaves with relaxing movie, and music, and each other's company.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask the consultant to make it as much like a Spa experience as possible and be willing to pay her for her time. It will still cost far less than having the party in a real spa.
  • Have tons of towels and hand and ask everyone to bring a bathrobe so they can be comfortable.
  • Plan the finances in advance and ask the other guests for their share if you need help paying for the bachelorette party
