Being a leader, someone that people can look up to and look forward to seeing everyday is not an easy task, and it really takes a long time to develop the people skills and the experience to know how to deal with each situation as separate and singly important issue!!!! It is even more difficult to make all the folks that work with you feel good about what they are doing even after you have to discipline one of them for whatever it is they did wrong. There are many types of boss' out there but most of which do not even like what they are doing or the people that work for them.

If you want to have a great team of people working for you, it is up to you as a leader and a boss to get the most out of your team and at the same time make them feel good about working for the company and more importantly working for you.
Each associate has something to offer and each associate has good qualities and bad.
1. Outline each job or position in your area. Write a detailed job description, be very detailed.
2. Determine the strengths and weaknesses of each associate on your team.
3. The hard part is matching the associate to the job and helping the associate to realize his/her potential, as well as having them feel great about the job that they will be doing. -

Getting the right person in the right job will not only increase your productivity, the employee will be much happier due to several things not the least of which is they will be succeeding at their job. People always feel better about their boss if their feel better about the themselves and how they are performing and how they are perceived by their coworkers.
I have also learned over time that getting the right person in the right job may also include something that is not a pleasant thing but very necessary in some situations.
Some people are just not cut out for any job you have in your place and their are times when it is necessary to remove someone from the team. This is hard on everyone but if done correctly and with a little tact, the person losing their job will actually thank you and be great full for all that you have done for them. -

The idea that a person doesn't fit in your organization doesn't mean they are not still worth investing in. I have found after working in several organizations over the past 20 years that things you do today can have a real impact on how you are treated in the future. Along my journey through life of I have run into several people from my past and my reputation preceded me through most of my career especially in a community of less then 150000 people.
So, how you treat people now, whether you make them part of your team or you have to remove them from your team, can have a very positive affect on you later in life or a very negative one.

Tips & Warnings
Treat everyone with respect and kindness
Always put yourself in the other person's shoes before making a decision.
Never say anything about anyone that you wouldn't say directly to that person, you never know if what you say will end up on the internet or worse.
The majority of people genuinely want to do a good job so be sure and treat them that way, you will get a lot further with them.
Any one can be the type of boss that let's their emotions determine the decisions they make. This will only lead to people disliking you and only doing what they need to to get by. And the worst part about being a boss that is bossy and not understanding of his/her people is that (What comes around goes around) and one day how ever you treat people is directly related to how you will be treated.
