This should be your goal!Avoid weight loss scams that tell you that you can lose 10 pounds in 2 days! If you do lose the weight it is water weight and you will gain it right back! Make realistic weight loss goals and you will achieve them! Weight loss can be achieved much easier in the summer months as much more fresh produce is readily available to eat. Besides, who wants to eat a huge heavy meal on a hot day! You can no longer hide those bumps and bulges behind those black pants or sweaters so it's time to get serious about summer weight loss!

Plan a diet that is high in protein with low to moderate carbohydrates. Carbohydrates that are eaten should include fresh fruits and vegetables as they do not add fat to the diet. A good diet to follow is The Glycemic Load diet which goes a step beyond the Glycemic Index Diet. This diet allows a lot more foods that are good for you and do not affect the blood sugar levels.

Another way of losing weight in the summer time is to replace meals and snacks with weight loss smoothies. These are great tasting and cool and refreshing. They are low calorie and high in protein if you add the protein powder to them. They work extremely well as a meal replacement and taste much better than the meal replacement smoothie that are on the market at the present time. You can make them up in a blender in a few minutes. Two recipes are included below for these shakes. It is recommended to replace either one meal and one snack or two meals per day with a weight loss smoothie.
Weight Loss Smoothie Recipe
5 Strawberries
1 Banana
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1/2 cup low fat plain yogurt
1 Tablespoon Good Quality Protein Powder
1-2 teaspoons Flax Seed Oil
Mix together in a blender and serve. Store any unused portion in the refrigerator.
Tropical Weight Loss Smoothie
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1/2 cup orange juice
1 peach cut into small pieces
3 Strawberries
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup low fat plain yogurt
1 Tablespoon Good Quality Protein Powder
1-2 Teaspoons Flax Seed Oil
Mix well in blender and serve. Store unused portion in refrigerator. -
Step 4
Your summer weight loss goal!The next step to summer weight loss is to add activity to your weight loss routine. It is not absolutely necessary but it will hasten your weight loss if you do this. It is recommended to start by walking at least 10 minutes which anyone can do at least 5 times per week the first week. Increase the time the second week to 15 minutes. In addition to walking, purchase some hand weights that are light for most women who have been sedentary, 1-2 pounds are fine to start out. Do ten repetitions with each hand and arm while sitting in front of the television or at the computer each day. This will help your upper body and also give you a work out while you are doing something you would have been anyway!
