Things You'll Need:
- iron
- sheets
-
Step 1
Plug your iron into an outlet right next to your bed and set it on steam. Most bedrooms have an outlet right next to the bed where you plug in your alarm clock or night light. Since this is close enough it should work well.
-
Step 2
Put the bottom fitted sheet on the bed like you normally would. Then proceed to iron it all across your bed. Occasionally use bouts of steam if there are sections where the sheets might be more wrinkled than others.
-
Step 3
Next put the top sheet on but don't tuck it in or do your hospital corners. Let it dangle off the sides and bottom. Iron it the same as you did with the bottom one.
-
Step 4
Now for the pillow cases. Lay them flat and iron them on the top sheet then put them on the pillows as you finish ironing.
-
Step 5
Unplug your iron and you are ready to go. Your bed is now 99% made (so all you have to do is tuck in the corners) and put the quilt, bedspread or comforter on.
-
Step 6
It literally took me about 10 minutes to iron and have my freshly made bed ready to go. Can't beat easy!

on 7/5/2009 My mother is a big advocate of wrinkle free sheets but I always hated ironing sheets because it takes too long on the ironing board...but now it's quick and easy. Thank you!!

on 6/19/2009 OMG! I thought I was the only one who ironed sheets! I always buy high thread counts and they are beautiful, but they need to be ironed. I never thought of ironing them on the bed. You are a genius! 5*
