Calvert Homeschool is a homeschool curriculum company with over a century of experience in education. Choosing Calvert Homeschool will give your child the structure and academic push that he needs, while still allowing for the flexibility and ease of homeschooling.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit Calvert Homeschool online at www.calvertschool.org, and request a catalog. You can also read about the curriculum itself.

  2. Step 2

Decide whether you'd like to use Calvert Homeschool Classic, or Calvert Advisory Teaching Service. The Advisory Teaching Service is more expensive than Classic, but it also offers more support.

  3. Step 3

Choose a grade level to use with Calvert Homeschool. Do not necessarily choose the grade that your child would be in if he were in public school. Assess his actual reading and math abilities and feel free to order different grade levels for different subjects.

  4. Step 4

Call Calvert Homeschool customer service at 1-888-487-4652 if you have any questions. You can place your order online or by phone.

  5. Step 5

Give your child plenty of time and a quiet place to work. Be available to answer questions and to explain new concepts.

  6. Step 6

In addition to using Calvert Homeschool, be sure to allow your child a lot of down time to pursue his other interests. That is the beauty of homeschooling.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to use Calvert Homeschool Interactive Learning if available for your child's grade level for interactive extra help.
