3. Choose a grade level to use with Calvert Homeschool. Do not necessarily choose the grade that your child would be in if he were in public school. Assess his actual reading and math abilities and feel free to order different grade levels for different subjects.

5. Give your child plenty of time and a quiet place to work. Be available to answer questions and to explain new concepts.
