How to Get a License for LimeWire
Sharing large files over the Internet has grown in popularity over recent years, so finding a program that can run smoothly while downloading or uploading the files is important. LimeWire is a widely used program that allows users to do just this. However, like most other types of software, a license must be obtained before it can be used.

Go to LimeWire.com (see Resources below for a link).

Click on the green "Get Basic" button on the bottom-right of the screen. If you would like a faster version, select the red "Get LimeWire Pro." This version does cost money, however.

Click the "Save File" button of the installation pop-up. The file will begin to download to the computer.

Double-click the LimeWire icon in the downloads window.

Click "OK" when Windows asks if it should open the executable file.

Select "Run" on the "Open File" pop-up window.

Select the language in which you want the program to be in.

Click "Next" when the "Welcome to LimeWire" screen comes up.

Choose the desired installation location.

Following the remaining installation steps.

Scroll through the license agreement to the end. LimeWire will bring up the agreement before you are allowed to use the program.

Check "Agree."

Click "OK," and installation will complete.

Tips & Warnings
LimeWire is adamant about sending and copying copyrighted material. If you do, you will be breaking the license agreement you signed, and, if you're caught, you can be prosecuted.
