How to Make Crafty Picture Frames as Gifts
Make crafty picture frames as gifts for family and friends any time of the year! Things You'll Need
- Acrylic paint
- 2 paintbrushes
- Miscellaneous puzzle pieces
- Diamond glaze
- Liquid glue
- 5 inch by 7 inch picture frame
- 2 or more colors of ribbon
- Double-sided tape

You can use mismatched puzzle pieces that are left over or buy a new puzzle from the dollar store to use in making your own crafty picture frames. Using a paintbrush, completely paint each puzzle piece with any choice of color or use more than one color for a decorative look. Make sure the whole puzzle pieces are covered with paint. Allow the pieces to dry completely.

Spread a thin layer of diamond glaze over the top of each puzzle piece. This will give your finished frame a shiny look. Allow the glaze to dry until it is no longer tacky.

Remove the glass from the inside of the frame. Using liquid glue, attach the puzzle pieces around the front of the frame in a random display.

Allow the entire frame to dry overnight before returning the glass and adding a photo.
Ribbon

Remove the backing from the frame and then carefully take out the glass from the inside.

Lay the frame on its front and tape it along the back side using double-sided tape. Cover the entire length of each side of the frame.

Starting at any corner, gently press one piece of ribbon onto the tape and continue to wrap the ribbon all the way around the frame, leaving a ribbon's width space between each piece.

Press the second piece of ribbon to the tape next to the same spot as the first. Wrap this piece around the frame, filling in the empty spaces between each wrap from the first ribbon.

Cut off any excess ribbon using sharp scissors to avoid threading. Attach both pieces of ribbon the last corner. Replace the glass and backing for the frame.
