A wonderful way to learn about another country’s cuisine is by booking and taking a culinary tour in foreign country. There are many wonderfully delicious tours in varies countries around the world. However, when choosing a culinary tour, there are a few things to consider.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • The desire to learn about other countries
  • The desire to cook
  • vacation time to spend
  • a passport
  1. Step 1

Decided whether you want to learn to cook the cuisine of the country or just wanting to taste and experience the culinary culture. Certain tours focus on the outdoor markets, specialty restaurants, and local festivals, where others tours include cooking classes as well as the tasting. Choose your tours based on the details of the tour. Make sure you have enough time to spend sightseeing as well as cooking or food tasting.

  2. Step 2

Decide which country and cuisine you would like to learn to prepare. Don’t choose a tour in a country where you are not going to like the foods.

  3. Step 3

Decide what your focus is going to be when choosing a cooking school. Decide whether you are an amateur cook or a gourmet chef. Decide whether you want a hands-on cooking approach or a theory-oriented course at the cooking school of choice. Choose your tour based on how involved you want to be in the kitchen.

  4. Step 4

Decide how much time your will needed to accomplish your goal. Schedule a week to sample the cuisines. Schedule a two weeks’ vacation in order to submerge yourself in the cuisine and the culture of the country and its food.
