Step 1
Discuss a gift exchange with your family: everyone can draw names and then they will just have to purchase one gift. Have the drawing in September or even earlier, and have everyone make a list of items they like, colors, hobbies, ect. You can even get really creative and just have a mug or candle exchange.

Step 2
Make a gift list in a notebook and keep it with you whenever you go shopping. Write down everybodies name that you are buying gifts for, along with shoe size, ect. Then when you find something for that person, you can write and down and refer back to it. That way you won't accidentally buy someone the same thing twice.

Step 3
Look online for coupins for electronics, also check out online stores for clothing and toys, you can get great proces for clearance items!

Step 4
Go to Goodwill. No, I'm not being tacky. Goodwill very often has brand-new in the box items that you can get for a song. This is why you are starting out now; you can easily find stuff for everyone if you just keep your eyes open.

Step 5
Looking for something nice for neighbors and friends? How about watching their pets while they are out of town for the holidays? A certificate for an evening of baby-sitting? And of course homeade baked goods are always appriciated.
