Things You'll Need:
- fireworks
- knowledge of fireworks safety
-
Step 1
Purchase your fireworks prior to the 4th of July and read the labels on the ones you are considering purchasing. In order to shoot fireworks safely, you must know what to expect from them and make sure that anyone who will be using them does as well.
-
Step 2
The two types of fireworks that are considered the most dangerous are Cherry Bombs and M-80's. They are so dangerous that they are outlawed in many states where fireworks are lawful. In order to shoot fireworks on the 4th of July safely, leave the Cherry bombs and M-80's alone.
-
Step 3
Shooting 4th of July fireworks safely means standing at least twenty feet away or more if possible.
-
Step 4
When the time comes to shoot your 4th of July fireworks, have one person in charge of the activity to maximize safety while shooting fireworks - preferably an adult.
